Abstract | |||
Three cohorts of Massachusetts tuberculosis patients (N=13,000) are being studied for cause-specific mortality through 2002, including cancer, in relation to radiation exposure from multiple chest fluorscopies received during adolescence and early adult life. Preliminary analyses indicate increased mortality for female breast cancer among the exposed and increased mortality among non exposed male patients from cancers mainly associated with tobacco use. |
